Gamecocks snubbed in pre-season baseball rankings

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The collegiate baseball pre-season rankings are out for the 2011 college baseball season. Clemson fans will be happy, but South Carolina fans not so much.

The defending national champion Gamecocks will start the season ranked number 14. South Carolina did lose a couple of key pitchers and position players from the 2010 World Series team, but they do return some great players like Jackie Bradley, Jr. and Matt Price.

Clemson is ranked number four after making it to the semi-finals of the College World Series a year ago. They will be without Kyle Parker, but many of the key players return for 2011.
