STATEWIDE (WMBF) – Holiday traveling could get more expensive, but not because Santa is delivering more gifts. Gas prices are on the rise.
Gasoline industry experts now predict crude oil prices will top $90 a barrel by year's end.
For the holiday traveler, that means the average price of regular unleaded gas could climb to $3.15 or higher.
The domestic demand for oil has dropped, which typically causes gas prices to fall. However, higher international demand for crude, coupled with a weak dollar, has driven the cost up at the pump.
