LEXINGTON, SC (WIS) - State troopers have released the name of a hit-and-run suspect they say killed a Lexington man riding a motorcycle last weekend.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, Ernesto Tabaras of West Columbia hit Tony Lopez with his Ford F-150 around 5:00am on Saturday. Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman said the wreck happened after Lopez rode his motorcycle into the intersection of Two Notch and Laurel roads.
Lopez was not wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers said Tabaras left his truck, but fled the scene.
