Killer Ca$h: Judge approves more money to defend accused serial killer Anthony Sowell

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - New developments on accused serial killer Anthony Sowell.

19 Action News has learned that even more of your money is going to defend the so-called Cleveland Strangler.

The court just approved another $60K dollars for mental health tests and an expert to build a case to keep Sowell off death row.

Anthony Sowell is accused of killing 11 women, attacking others.

Exclusive crime scene photos show in and around the Imperial Avenue house where the bodies were found on Cleveland's Eastside.

The case is already setting records for how much of your money it's costing to defend Sowell.

Now, Judge Dick Ambrose approved the extra money for a doctor to do psychological tests, a paralegal to help prepare his defense and an expert building a case to keep him off death row in case he gets convicted.

The court points out Sowell has a mental health doctor from California, not a local guy.

Sowell's trial still set for February of next year.
