Columbia police investigate Saturday night shooting

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Columbia Police are investigating a Saturday night shooting on Apple Valley Road that sent a man to the hospital.

Columbia Interim Police Chief Randy Scott says Columbia Police and Richland County deputies responded to a shots fired call at a residence on Apple Valley Road in Columbia.

A male victim was discovered with a gun shot wound inside the home and was transported to an area hospital by Richland County EMS.

Columbia Police along with Richland County Sheriff's deputies are continuing to investigate.
