SUMTER COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Seven people were arrested and charged with illegal gambling and gaming charges Sunday after a three-month investigation, according to Sumter deputies.
Acting on tips, Members of the Sumter County Drug Unit, Sumter Police Department and the Department of Probation, Pardon and Parole Services executed search warrants at 1175-A Peach Orchard Road at the TC Oriental Store and at 6 Melrose Drive in Wedgefield, the residence of Thongkhun Theobald.
Deputies seized over $18,000 in cash, three illegal poker machines, alcohol and various documents from the two locations.
46-year-old Cline Dunbar and 63-year-old Thongkhun Theobald were each charged with operating a gaming house and four counts of illegal gambling.
Eufracia Johnson, 59; Dolores Reynolds, 62; Vera Dunbar, 49; Kevin Dick, 40 and Adam Brito, 33 were all charged with illegal gambling.
