COLUMBIA,SC (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff's Department says a 48-year-old warehouse worker has been arrested for stealing more than $10,000 in prescription pet medication and other pet supplies nearly a month ago and now they need your help in finding the missing medicine.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says on September 29, 2010, 48 year old Dewayne Keels was arrested for receiving stolen goods, valued over $10,000.

Lott says on June 21, Keels stole a large shipment of pet supplies from a warehouse in Northeast Richland County.  The boxes contained animal clippers, flea killer, flea and tick killer, and  heart worm medicine.  According to Lott, Keels was an employee at the warehouse, which gave him access to the supplies. Because of the large quantity of items stolen and the cash value of these items, investigators believe that there may be others involved.

Sheriff Lott added that these are items that are sold or prescribed normally by veterinarians and if you have been contacted by anyone to purchase pet supplies, you are asked to contact  Midlands Crimestoppers, at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
