Elusive Richland County Emu captured

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - An Emu on the run in Lower Richland County has been captured.

According to Richland County Animal Care, the owner of the animal has captured the bird, which was on the run Thursday morning.

An Emu is a flightless bird that looks much like an ostrich. It is the world's 3rd largest bird behind the Ostrich and Cassowary and can run upwards of 30 miles per hour.

The search for the elusive Emu took place near Old Leesburg Road and Deer Ridge Road.
