COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Alabama has a rich football tradition, one that former Tide lineman John Hannah was a part of many years ago.
Hannah is still an imposing prescene just like when he was an All-American lineman at Alabama. On Friday, he ventured into enemy territory to speak to the Columbia Touchdown Club.
"I'm just going to tell them war stories and let them ask questions," said Hannah.
Now that his playing days are over, the pro football hall of famer says he's one of Alabama's biggest fans. He's especially enjoying the tide's rise again to prominence. The defending national champs are ranked No. 1 with a 19 game winning streak.
"It's been great for Alabama fans," said Hannah.
Hannah also credits coach Nick Saban for the team's return to prominance. He says when you play for Alabama, you get used to everyone giving you their best shot.
