WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Bed and Breakfast Inns around the nation will honor veterans this Veteran's Day by giving them a complimentary night stay.
According to the Bed and Breakfast for Vets website, the program was started in 2009 by the West Virginia B&B Association and has expanded to include over 40 states and provinces and more than 300 inns.
Wilmington's C.W. Worth House, located on 3rd Street, is the only local participating Bed & Breakfast in this year's national observance on November 10.
"My phone has kept ringing ever since our announcement last week," said owner Margi Erickson.
The C.W. Worth House is already full and is offering three complimentary rooms to veterans and their families.
