Colonial Life Arena to host NBA preseason game

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The NBA's Charlotte Bobcats will play a preseason game in Columbia this fall.

Hall of Fame Head Coach Larry Brown leads the Charlotte Bobcats in a preseason matchup with Richard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and the Detroit Pistons at Colonial Life Arena on Saturday, October 16.

Coming off their first postseason appearance, the Bobcats are looking to improve on last year's franchise record 44-win campaign and stay competitive in the NBA's toughest division.  Joining All-Star forward Gerald Wallace and leading scorer Stephen Jackson are summer league standouts Gerald Henderson and Derrick Brown, third-year point guard D.J. Augustin and a talented group of rookies and veterans looking to make the Bobcats roster.

This marks the Bobcat's third preseason game in South Carolina and second in Columbia.
