Columbia ice company's building catches fire

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A Columbia company that specials in ice structures caught fire Friday evening.

Westside Ice Company on Two Notch Road in Columbia caught fire around 8:15pm. The fire was started by a heat gun used to sculpt the ice that was left on.

When Columbia Fire Department arrived on scene, there were flames showing but firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly.

Officials estimate a couple thousand dollars of damage was done to the building, mostly to the wooden floors.
