I don’t particularly like the thought of a colonoscopy.

This is a statement we often hear.  "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" is another common misconception.  It is lethal to wait. If you wait until you think you have a problem, there is an 85 percent chance you will die.

If you come for screening without any problems (no symptoms or findings by the doctor) even if we find a cancer during your colonoscopy, the cure rate is 90 percent.  But if you have just ONE sympton such as passing blood, a change with bowel movements, pain, or weight loss, the death rate skyrockets to a staggering 85%!  The choice is simple:  you MUST come when you're feeling fine!  This is a screening exam- it must be done before any evidence of cancer develops, before it's too late.
