Man arrested in shooting death

GAFFNEY, SC (AP) - A South Carolina man has been arrested and charged with murder in the weekend shooting death of another man.

Multiple media outlets reported the Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reported that Gaffney police charged 50-year-old Tony Hayword Chambers with murder Monday.

The Gaffney man is accused of shooting 41-year-old Calvin Todd Morgan of Gaffney about 3 a.m. Saturday. Morgan died at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center on Sunday.

Police have not released a motive in the shooting. But they think two men and two women went to a home early Saturday and there was an argument, followed by a single gunshot.

Detective Sgt. Brian Blanton says Chambers hasn't provided much information to officers.
