COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A female is in the hospital with life threatening injuries after being stabbed in the chest.
According to Columbia police, the stabbing occurred on Glenn Avenue at 12am and one suspect has been arrested.
Police say witnesses stated that a verbal altercation began between the victim and the suspect, 65-year-old Roosevelt Bolden. The victim ran into a neighboring yard and collapsed.
Columbia officers arrived and located the unresponsive victim. Richland County EMS transported her to Palmetto Health Richland.
Bolden was located inside of the home and was arrested.
Bolden was being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on a charge of assault and battery with intent to kill.
