Water Cycle

Water on Earth moves in a never-ending cycle called the Water Cycle. Water changes from one form to another, but it remains the same water!

  1. Heat from the sun evaporates water from the earth, lakes, rivers and streams putting water vapor into the air.
  2. As water vapor cools, it condenses, forming clouds in the sky.
  3. Clouds increase in the sky encountering colder air. When enough condensation has occurred, precipitation falls to the earth.
  4. Rinse, lather and repeat!
