AIKEN, SC (AP) - Investigators have named two suspects who they say shot a man to death in Augusta, GA, then drove his body across the border to Aiken, and then set the body on fire and put it in a dumpster.

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton says 38-year-old Corwin L. Lee of Augusta died within 48 hours of the discovery Thursday morning near The River Club Golf Course in North Augusta.

Mechanic Patrick Laorenza told reporters he had been looking for illegally dumped trash in the area when he found Lee's body.

He says he noticed that the man's legs had been burned, but that he was killed by a single gunshot to the head before he was burned.

Authorities say 21-year-old Javell Leverett Gordon and18-year-old Victor Levee Scott are charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

The Richmond County, Georgia Sheriff's Department says Gordon turned himself in at 2:00am Saturday, but Scott remains at large. Scott is still believed to armed and is considered very dangerous.

The vehicle believed to be used to transport Lee's body across state lines has been located and is currently in the possession of the Richmond County Sheriff's Office waiting to be processed.

Witnesses said they last saw Lee leaving his home with two men last weekend. His family filed a missing persons report the day after Christmas.
