FORT JACKSON, SC (WIS) - Fort Jackson officials are looking for two men. They say the duo tried to kidnap two 10-year-olds from the housing area on two separate occasions.

The suspect with facial piercings was last seen driving a silver-and-gray SUV with a brush guard on the front bumper.

Officials are also looking for the black suspect, who they say was last seen driving a black four door late-model Toyota pickup with chrome exhaust and chrome wheels.

Officials at Fort Jackson don't think the two incidents are linked. In both cases the suspects approached the children in their vehicles and asked them to get inside. Both children ran away.

"Both of them stopped and refused to get inside and went home," says spokeswoman Karen Soule.

Officials on post are asking people to be cautious, especially on Halloween.

"Everybody needs to be concerned. We're getting information out sending it home with kids in school, stepping up military patrols, it's very important," Soule said.

Officials are asking that only people who live on post trick or treat at Fort Jackson Wednesday night so they have better control of the area.

If you recognize the suspects call 803-751-3115. Count on WIS News 10 to bring you any updates to this developing story.
