GREENVILLE, SC (WIS) - Some South Carolina teen has a chance at starring in a movie.
Hollywood casting directors are coming to South Carolina.
A casting call is being held Tuesday in Greenville.
Paramount Pictures and the Coen Bros. are looking for a girl to be the lead of their new feature film, True Grit!
The role is Mattie Ross and shooting would start in the Spring.
They are looking for a 12-16 year who is tough, strong and tells it like it is.
Mattie Ross, 14, is a simple, tough as nails young woman. Her steely nerves and straightforward manner are a shocking contrast to the way women behaved in the early century. She's possessed of true grit and plenty of determination -- enough so, that she insists on going with two marshals to hunt down the killer of her father.
Acting experience is not necessary, but they ask for you to please bring a current picture with you.
Auditions are at the Comfort Inn Millennium ballroom on Laurens Road in Greenville from 3pm-7pm.
