AIKEN, SC (WIS) - A combined effort from Aiken and Richmond County deputies helped to capture a man wanted in connection with a North Augusta homicide.

Officials say 18-year-old Robert Lee Smith, II has been charged with murder, armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and conspiracy to distribute marijuana.

Smith was wanted in the death of Paul Lirley, who was killed on Nov. 23, 2009.

Investigators were pointed in Smith's direction in Richmond County thanks to the help of a tipster.
