WIS News 10 - Columbia, South Carolina | Coroner identifies man found shot to death near Congaree River

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Multiple people are in custody in connection with the murder of a man found shot to death near the Congaree River Tuesday night.
Richland County deputies say the body was found where Highway 601 meets the river last night.
Coroner Gary Watts said 25-year-old Jackie Edward Crocker of Columbia was shot and killed.
Sheriff's Department spokesman Lt. Chris Cowan said suspects are in custody in connection with this murder, but did not say how many people are being detained.
Deputies and the Richland County Coroner are expected to release further information as it becomes available.
