HOPKINS, SC (WIS) - A house caught fire in the 400 block of Saddlebrook Lane in Hopkins.

According to Columbia Deputy Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins, the two story house fire in Lower Richland County was the result of a lightning strike.

The fire was on the second level of the home and caused an estimated $50,000 in damages.

Jenkins says five people inside -- two adults and three children, and they all got out safely.
