COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The City of Columbia Water Works says water customers on Forest Drive between McDuffie Ave. and Harrison Rd. and Glenwood Rd. from Forest Dr. to Trenholm Rd. in Richland County no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.
They say after flushing the distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected and analyzed. The results of the sampling indicate that the system is safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.
If you plan to drive down Forest, you can still expect to see some detours due to construction surrounding the repairs. [Click here to see the detour map (.pdf)]
