Fairfield Co. School District hasn't decided about H1N1 vaccine

Posted: Updated:

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The Fairfield County School District has not yet decided if it will ask the Department of Health and Environmental Control for the H1N1 vaccine.

DHEC officials say the board chair says the district sent questionnaires to parents. It will decide on the vaccine at a special meeting on Thursday.

Right now, Fairfield is one of two districts in the state that haven't told DHEC it wants the vaccine.

The Fairfield County Health Department has a flu shot clinic this Friday afternoon from 1pm until 4pm. It's at the health department office on Kincaid Bridge Road in Winnsboro. You'll have to call the healh department for an appointment.
