COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A family member found two people dead in an Elgin home Friday evening, and now sheriff's deputies are investigating.
Deputies say the man and woman, both in their 60s, were found dead at around 6:15pm in the home on Ferncliffe Road in the Briargate subdivision.
The identities of the two people will be released once the entire family has been notified.
Officials have also not released a cause of death, but Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said the bodies showed no sign of trauma.
Autopsies are scheduled for Saturday morning, Watts said. The sheriff's department is investigating.
