
COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - How many times have you heard 'eat your fruits and veggies?'
Bethune, Pelion, Elloree Elementary schools and others are getting some cash to do just that. It's part of a federal grant to encourage kids to eat healthier.
Fifty-one South Carolina schools will split nearly $1.2 million.
The program provides fresh, homegrown produce for kids to snack on throughout the day.
