BEECH ISLAND, SC (WIS) - An Aiken man is dead in an officer-involved shooting after law enforcement officials say he was involved in a bank robbery.
Authorities say 30-year-old Jelani Edwards was pronounced dead at Beech Island around 1pm after his involvement in a bank robbery one hour earlier.
Officials say Edwards was armed during the shooting.
The State Law Enforcement Division, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office and the Aiken County Coroner's Office are investigating the incident.
