Bond denied, six more charged in Sumter child's death

Posted: Updated:

SUMTER, SC (WIS) - Bond was denied for a man accused in the shooting death of a Sumter child and five more people have been charged in connection with the case according to authorities.

Asherdon Fari Holloway, 18, was arrested Friday in Riverdale, Georgia after being identified as a suspect in the death of 1-year-old Cabrall Archie, Jr. His bond was denied in court Tuesday afternoon.

You may remember the story: Archie, Jr.'s 26-year-old father, Cabrall Archie, Sr. was holding the boy in his arms on front porch when the two were shot. They were airlifted to Palmetto Health Richland in critical condition. Archie, Jr. was pronounced dead three days later.

Tasha Archie, the baby's mother cried out several times. All she could say was that she wanted to know why. She says life is just not the same for her and her five other kids.

"When I take them all out, I always call for one and he ain't coming, so it hurts real bad," said Tasha.

Six others, Marcus Haynesworth, Kenya Haynesworth Kennedy, Terrance Deangelo Haynesworth, Jessica Patrice Brown, Cameron Davis and Quinton Napolean Weldon have also been charged in connection with the case.

Haynesworth stands charged with conspiracy to commit murder, accessory to murder and armed robbery. Bond was set at $400,000.

Kennedy has been charged with accessory to murder. Her bond was set at $200,000.

Terrence Haynesworth, Davis and Weldon have all been been charged with accessory before the fact and conspiracy.

Brown has been charged with accessory after the fact.

Holloway was transported back to Sumter on Sunday and has been charged with murder, assault and battery with intent to kill, attempted armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Since the murder, The Archies have moved.

"We don't know who else is out there," said Tasha. "I'm still scared. I stay with a whole bunch of people at night with lights on."

And it's at night when Tasha misses tucking in her baby boy.

"When I do that I go to go to one empty spot, I'm never going to see him again," said Tasha.
