COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - An inmate who escaped from work detail earlier this week in Rembert has been spotted in Richland County, according to officials.
Richland County deputies say 38-year-old Tracy Cobb was spotted on Spears Creek Road.
Cobb was last seen Wednesday afternoon working on the tractor detail at Wateree River Correctional Institution in Sumter County.
Cobb has been serving a three-year sentence for manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine from Cherokee County since November.
Deputies say their fugitive task force is conducting an active manhunt, along with SLED. Anyone who sees Cobb is asked to call law enforcement.
