Jillian Capobianco

Jillian Capobianco joined the WIS team in January 2009 as a reporter and producer.

Jillian is originally from Titusville, Florida. There's not much to the small town, but she could see and hear the space shuttle from her back yard.  Plus, it was only a fifteen minute drive to one of the best, and undiscovered, beaches in Florida.  While she misses the ocean, she is very excited about having made Columbia her new home.

Jillian comes to us from Athens, Georgia where she graduated from the University of Georgia's Grady College where she earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism . . . go dawgs!  While attending the Grady College she was a production manager at Newsource15 where she directed the broadcasts for its news program. Later, she produced, reported and anchored for Newsource. She interned at WFTV in Orlando, Florida where she learned from some of the best local reporters.  

Apart from watching, writing and reporting news; Jillian likes exploring what the Midlands has to offer. She also likes spending time down the road in Lexington with her sister Melissa and three nieces: Bianca, Lila and Elly.
