(Columbia) May 3, 2005 - The All-Health Team recognizes and rewards young people for their efforts to promote being healthy.
Each month, youth and their leaders and teachers complete an application showing what they're doing. If selected for the All-Health Team, they're awarded $500, and a television spot highlighting their work.
The students did projects like taking an unused portion of school property into a playground. Elton Haulbrook is a fifth grader, "We worked very hard at it every Wednesday from 2:30 to 4:00. We painted the black top, where we could exercise."
The All-Health Team is sponsored by WIS, DHEC and Lexington Medical Center.
