(Jacksonville, FL-AP) January 22, 2007 - Alicia Keys plans to offer a hand up to four college-bound students.
The Florida Times-Union reports Keys is offering $5,000 scholarships to four students from Jacksonville, New Orleans, Atlanta and New York's Harlem.
Keys will give out the money through the Frum Tha Ground Up nonprofit group, which was founded in Jacksonville by Keys' road manager, D.J. Walton.
Keys says they're looking for standout students who want to go to college but need a bit of help financially.
