(Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) December 6, 2006 - There's a tragic and bizarre story out of Oklahoma, where a man's body was placed in a freezer for days, and then put in the trunk of a car.
Oklahoma City Police found the body of 48-year-old Emmanuel Thompson on Monday after following a tip.
Investigators believe the man was in a freezer for up to ten days before being moved to the trunk of a car.
Thompson's 20-year-old son Andrew was found hiding in the attic of his father's house.
Deputy Chief Steve Jagosh with the Village Police Dept. said, "He was in a part of the attic that was extremely difficult to see. If he wouldn't have moved in the attic we might have not found him."
Andrew Thompson is now being held on a first-degree murder complaint.
Police say since the body was kept in a freezer for so long, it will be several days before the medical examiner can determine the cause of Emmanuel Thompson's death.
Emmanuel Thompson was a coach and PE teacher at a local school. There's no word yet on a motive for killing.
