(Columbia-AP) October 19, 2006 - A former York County deputy has been arrested for taking more than $1,200 that was supposed to be used for undercover drug deals.
The State Law Enforcement Division says the deputy used the money for his own benefit.
Thirty-seven-year-old William Graham of Fort Mill was arrested Thursday and charged with embezzlement of public funds and misconduct in office.
Graham worked for York County's special drug unit. An arrest warrant says he was in charge of keeping up with the money undercover agents used to buy drugs.
The warrent says Graham gave a written confession to taking the money and has paid the county back.
