(New York-AP) September 26, 2006 - There were some problems Tuesday for some Google users as a glitch made services slow or inaccessible.
The search engine giant says the cause of the glitch is not yet known, nor are any details available on how widespread the problem was. Google says it's received reports that a small portion of certain Internet service providers' users are having trouble accessing its services.
Brief outages of leading Internet sites are not uncommon. A software glitch delayed AOL's e-mail for millions of users in June, while the video-sharing site YouTube was inaccessible for hours in mid-August.
Besides running the Internet's leading search engine, Google offers e-mail, chat, news aggregation and other services.
