(Toledo, Ohio-NBC) July 26, 2006 - Pop star Ashlee Simpson may be losing some fans in Toledo, Ohio. She called off her concert in Toledo that was scheduled for Tuesday night, saying she was sick.
That news didn't sit too well with fans. A local radio station urged fans to protest outside Simpson's hotel because she had been spotted rollerblading and eating at some local restaurants.
Some fans burned their tickets in protest.
Simpson's concert was nowhere near a sell-out, and that has some in Toledo speculating that low ticket sales may have contributed to the cancellation.
