Feds take on case of bomb in Indianapolis Wal-Mart

(Indianapolis, Indiana-NBC) May 26, 2006 - Marion County, Indiana federal investigators have now joined Indianapolis authorities to find out who planted a bomb inside a stroller at a Wal-Mart.

The discovery was made Thursday afternoon in an Indianapolis Wal-Mart filled with customers.

Store employees and customers were forced to evacuate the store. A blanket was removed from the stroller uncovering the homemade bomb. The device was inspected and the stroller was pushed out of the store where it was detonated by an explosives team.

Witnesses say they ran from the scene once they realized a bomb was in the store. Customer Kelly Hart saw the bomb, "It was a box and it had like um, four clay things with wires going down inside them."

What did Hart do? "Me and my mom and my son took off running."

Captain Brian Mahone says law enforcement had an idea of the threat, "A threat came in that kind of warned law enforcement and the store about a possible explosive device being there."
