Michelle Kwan says she's not ready to quit skating just yet

(Greenville-AP) April 12, 2006 - Welcomed to Greenville by thunderous applause and cries of "We missed you, Michelle," Michelle Kwan says she's not ready to quit competitive skating.

Kwan says she wants to fully recover from a groin injury that forced her out of this year's Olympics before deciding what to do next.

Kwan and several other skaters, including Turin gold-medal winner Shizuka Arakawa of Japan and Kwan's replacement in Turin, Emily Hughes, performed tonight at the Marshalls US Figure Skating International Showcase at the Bi-Lo Center.

Skating in one of her first performances since pulling out of the winter Olympics earlier this year, Kwan turned out two near-flawless but jump-free performances.
