Sue Ryan Jordan has been a breast cancer survivor for 27 years.
Jordan told people attending a cancer society summit Saturday afternoon that there is hope if you're diagnosed with cancer.
But, she said feeling powerless and alone are often the biggest obstacles to recovery.
"What if I die? What will happen to my children? What will their lives be like when I am gone? What will it be like if hopefully I go to heaven. I mean these are things that you think about. People think about these things. Human beings think about these things," said Jordan.
People representing every county in the state attended Saturday's event.
