(Columbia-AP) May 22, 2005 - Two more South Carolina players that officials say were involved in the thefts at Williams-Brice Stadium last November were accepted into a pre-trial intervention program.
An official in the Fifth Circuit Solicitor's office says ex-quarterback Dondrial Pinkins and offensive lineman Freddy Saint-Preux will take part in the program. The plan allows first-time offenders to clear their records once they finish their community service.
Former linebacker Rod Wilson had already been accepted in the program. Others charged after the thefts were ex-tight end Brian Brownlee, receiver Syvelle Newton and lineman Woodly Telfort.
The players were arrested and charged this past fall after $18,000 worth of computer and video equipment and several framed photographs were taken from the stadium.
Pinkins, Newton, Saint-Preux and Wilson were charged with misdemeanor counts of petit larceny. Brownlee and Telfort were charged with grand larceny for taking laptops and projectors.
