(Monroe, Louisiana-AP) Dec. 8, 2004 - Louisiana State Police say they've arrested a man wanted in Georgia and South Carolina for charges ranging from sexual assault to murder.

Around 11:30am Tuesday troopers attempted to pull over a 2000 Dodge Neon with Georgia tags for following too close on Interstate 20 westbound. Tobias Chano "Toby" Lee, 28, reportedly pulled over, but, when the trooper got out officers say Lee took off in the Neon.

Officers gave chase and reached speeds of over 90 miles per hour through the towns of Monroe and West Monroe, where officers say Lee ran stop signs and traffic lights. He is said to have struck one vehicle and then continued on. Authorities say he then hit a truck and was taken into custody.

None of the officers or other drivers was reported injured, but Lee reportedly suffered minor injuries.

He was booked on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated flight, cocaine possession, following too close and possession of a firearm by a felon. State police say Lee had a loaded nine millimeter weapon and body armor inside the vehicle.

Police say Lee, featured over the weekend on "America's Most Wanted," is a suspect in an East Point, Georgia, killing on October 22nd and a killing north of Columbia last on November 24th.

Lee is accused of shooting and killing 74-year-old James Hammond last month when Hammond tried to stop Lee and another man from stealing his truck on US Highway 321 in northern Richland County. Police found the truck last week in Columbus.

Lee is also accused of sexually assaulting two women in Columbus, Georgia, and stealing their car. The other suspect in the death of James Hammond, 17-year-old Willie Demetrius Johnson, surrendered Sunday to Richland County Sheriff's Deputies after officials say he took a bus back from Columbus.

Lee was also wanted by Columbia Police for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery on Devine Street on November 20th. They say he was on the run from them for that crime when he fled to the Willow Ridge mobile home park run by Hammond in Fairfield County.

Lee was also sought by Georgia authorities on charges of murder, sexual assault and aggravated assault.

Lee is being held in a Louisiana jail. He waived extradition back to South Carolina.
