(Columbia-AP) July 8, 2004 - The Charleston School of Law can begin offering classes in the fall. The state Commission on Higher Education issued the school a license on Thursday.
Law school founder Alex Sanders says the school expects to enroll 125 full-time students in August out of the 960 applications they've gotten. School officials say three-quarters of those who'll enroll are from South Carolina.
Sanders says the student's average entrance test scores are above the national average.
Tuition is about $25,000 a year.
There are seven full-time faculty members. The school still needs acreditation from the American Bar Assocation. Officials say they hope to get it before fall's first class graduates three years from now.
