Hannah Horne joined the Emmy award-winning WIS News 10 team in September, 2000.
Since then, she has worn several hats including producer, reporter and anchor. Hannah is best known for her nearly eight years as the Sunrise newscast anchor, the longest anyone has held that position at WIS.
Hannah recently traded in those early morning hours for a different schedule that allows her more time with her family and work in the community. Hannah currently anchors WIS News 10 at Noon each weekday and reports on special projects in the evening newscasts.
Hannah is a proven leader in the newsroom, often mentoring young journalists with patience and gentle persistence.
Hannah took a break from TV news last year to work in state government for the South Carolina Film Commission. She recruited Hollywood movies to South Carolina, that would create jobs and hospitality revenue. Hannah enjoyed traveling and meeting new people, but always knew she'd return one day to her TV news family.
Hannah has covered a wide range of news stories for WIS, including the train wreck in Graniteville, Hurricane Katrina, a medical mission trip to Honduras and countless other stories that entertain, educate and enrich our community. Hannah's unique reporting style is both professional, yet personal enough to feel "y'all are family!"
Hannah is married to Joseph Horne and has two step-daughters. Their border collie, Dottie, is still a trouble-maker. They live in Forest Acres and are members of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.
