(Columbia-AP) March 29, 2004 - New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson will speak at the South Carolina Democratic Party's Jefferson-Jackson dinner next month.
South Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Joe Erwin says Richardson's appearance will energize Democrats in South Carolina. He says the visit will build on the success of the February presidential primary.
Richardson previously served as a member of Congress, US ambassador to the United Nations and US Energy Secretary.
The Jefferson-Jackson Dinner is the South Carolina Democratic Party's largest fund-raiser.
