TheBigSpur.com: Clowney is full NCAA qualifier

COLUMBIA, SC (247sports.com) - According to sources, Rock Hill (S.C.) South Pointe defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, the nation's top-ranked overall prospect, has been notified that he is a full qualifier by NCAA standards.

He still needs to be admitted to the University of South Carolina, but sources don't anticipate any problems on that end. He is expected to begin classes in Columbia next month for the second session of summer school.

Clowney was the nation's consensus top overall prospect for the 2011 class, including earning a franchise (105) rating by 247Sports. He signed with the Gamecocks on Feb. 14, his birthday.
