Dozens of people have died after a second day of tornadoes twisted through Oklahoma, this time taking aim at the town of Moore, south of Oklahoma City.

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Broad River Correctional Institution was put on lockdown and visitation was canceled after a discovery that nine of its inmates had confirmed cases of the flu.

Spokesman John Barkley said it's an effort to keep the flu from spreading to its 1,200 inmates as well as those visiting.

He said the inmates will be required to stay in their cells where they will be fed as well.

In a closed environment, Barkley said the spread of flu is bound to happen so staff are taking precautionary measures. He expects the lockdown to continue through the weekend.

Barkley said medical staff are reviewing the situation daily and will report the results to headquarters, which will decide when to lift the lockdown.
