COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - It's no overstatement to say Gamecocks head coach Steve Spurrier had a good weekend. He beat the #1 team in the country, became the second-winningest Southeastern Conference coach of all time, and topped it off by welcoming two grandchildren into the world.

Palmer and Hayden Spurrier were born on Sunday, the day after the Gamecocks' first-ever win over a top-ranked team. The twins' proud father is the Head Ball Coach's son Steve Spurrier Jr., who is USC's receivers coach.

The younger Spurrier posted on Twitter that Palmer weighs 5.6 lbs and Hayden weighs 5.12 lbs. Spurrier Jr. now has six children, including a set of triplets.

The Gamecocks stunned Alabama 35-21 on Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium. It was Coach Steve Spurrier's 107th SEC win, moving him out of a tie for second with Ole Miss great Johnny Vaught. Alabama icon Paul "Bear" Bryant is the all-time leader with 159 league wins.
