Heigl, 30, is going on a belated maternity leave to spend some time with Naleigh, the daughter she and husband Josh Kelley adopted.

Reps for the ABC series declined to comment on when and how Dr. Izzie Stevens will take off again. Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the story, said she'll likely be missing in action until early 2010. -- Natalie Abrams
