Joseph Jay Magni Jr.AIKEN, SC (WIS) - The Aiken County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a former Aiken County middle school teacher on sex charges.
Aiken County authorities say 28-year-old Joseph Jay Magni Jr., of Cannon Knoll Rd. in Lexington, is charged with five counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and five counts of lewd act on a minor.
Aiken County Sheriff's Office Juvenile Investigators say they discovered that between the months of May, 2009, and June, 2009, Magni committed criminal sexual conduct and lewd act on a minor while at the Aiken Mall Cinemas located in Aiken.
The victim was a 14-year-old female, investigators say.
In addition, investigators also discovered that Magni, again between the months of May, 2009, and June, 2009, committed a lewd act and criminal sexual conduct on a minor, a 14-year-old female, while at his work place, Leavelle McCampbell Middle School, located in Graniteville, South Carolina.
Magni was being held in the Aiken County Detention Center.
