WIS News 10 - Columbia, South Carolina | Three Benedict students charged with armed robbery

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Three Benedict College students face armed robbery charges after authorities say they held up a Florence payday lender at gunpoint.
Major Carlos Raines said the robbery happened at around 3:20pm Wednesday at the Check Into Cash in Florence.
Raines said two men went into the business to get a money order. The clerk was by herself, and one of the men pulled out a gun and demanded money, according to Raines, before running to their getaway car.
Authorities said the getaway car drove down a dead end, and by the time they turned around, police were waiting on them. Everything was recovered that was taken from the business.
Police arrested 24-year-old Trey Douglas of Timmonsville, 22-year-old Tristan Stringer of Detroit, Michigan, and 22-year-old Alfred Jones of College Park, Georgia. The men are charged with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.
All three men told police their address was 1600 Harden Street in Columbia, which is where Benedict College is located.
